Chris Grayson

Chris Grayson

Chris Grayson is a third-generation funeral director. He graduated from New Washington High School in 1975, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN, graduating in 1979. In 1981, he graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Service with an Associate Degree in Funeral Service.  He was inducted into the Bethel University Athletics Hall of Fame in 1998.  


Chris is a member of the Board of Directors for the Charlestown Excellence in Education Foundation (CEEF) and a member of the North Charlestown Church of God. He is married to the former Karen Beal and they have three children and eight grandchildren; Michael (Nicole) of Charlestown who is also a funeral director and their children Christian and Reagann; Michelle Cecil (Clint) of Louisville, KY who has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, and their children Grayson, Beckham and Cora; and Stephen (Katie) of Charlestown and their children Leah, Greer and Wesley.

Joseph Bille

Managing Funeral Director

Joe Bille knew from an early age that he wanted to become a funeral director, because of his desire to help others. He graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in 1991, obtaining his Indiana funeral director’s license in 1993. Later, he obtained his Kentucky license in 2003, allowing him to assist families throughout the region. 


Joe has been married to the former Lorna Smith for 36 years. Lorna and her family are from Charlestown, and all went through the local school system. Joe and Lorna can often be found in Charlestown spending time with both of their families, including Joe’s sister Sheila Hodges. Joe appreciates the pace and community feeling of Charlestown and New Washington.

Mark Crane

Funeral Director

Mark Crane has been a member of our community for nearly twenty years. He is a graduate of North Daviess High School in Elnora, IN. He attended Tri-State University and was in the first graduating class of Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jefferson, IN in 1981. 


Mark is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Indiana and Kentucky. He began his career in funeral service in 1979 at his family’s funeral home, the former Poindexter & Son Funeral Home in Odon, IN, working there until 1987, when he and his family moved to Madison, IN. In Madison, Mark worked at the former Vail-Holt Funeral Home until 2006 when he joined Grayson Funeral Home.


Mark is married to the former Vickie Niemann Davidson, and they have five children, Breanna, Brittany, Brenton, Aimee and Andrea. Mark and Vickie are members of Northside Christian Church and enjoy restoring their old Cape Cod and traveling around the country.


Danny Allen

Danny Allen is a licensed funeral director and embalmer serving families with professionalism, care, and dedication. Danny earned his associate’s degree in Mortuary Science from Mid-America College of Funeral Service, where he developed a strong foundation in the technical and compassionate aspects of funeral service. He and his family moved to Southern Indiana from London, KY in 2013. Danny launched his career at B&G Mortuary Service in Charlestown, which helped shape his approach to serving families with integrity and respect. 


Licensed in Indiana and Kentucky, Danny is also certified as a Kentucky Crematory Operator, allowing him to serve a broad range of communities with flexibility and expertise. Throughout his career, Danny has been committed to guiding families through some of life’s most challenging moments with compassion, attention to detail, and a deep sense of responsibility.


Danny and his wife, Rhonda, have built a close-knit family, including their son Brody (married to Alexis) and their precious twin granddaughters, Emmie and Ellie. Danny and Rhonda share a passion for exploring estate and yard sales, searching for forgotten treasures and pieces of history. This hobby reflects Danny’s appreciation for the stories, personalization, and memories that objects, much like people, carry with them.


Danny remains dedicated to continuing education and personal growth within the funeral profession, ensuring that every family he serves receives the highest level of care and respect.


Michael Grayson

Funeral Director

Michael has been a part of our community for over forty years. He has been married to Nicole for 18 years, and they have two children, Christian and Reagann. As a fourth-generation funeral director, Michael grew up around our funeral home, and enjoys helping people who are going through difficult times. 


Michael loves the small town atmosphere of our community, and how people come together to support one another. He is a member of the Charlestown Sewer Board, a founding member of the Charlestown Pirate Pride Sports Broadcasting, and has volunteered with Charlestown’s Little League, Little Pirate Football and Youth Basketball programs. 


David Graves

David Graves

Assistant Funeral Director

Originally from Paulding, OH, David is a graduate of Mid America College of Funeral Science, and Indiana Wesleyan University, where he earned his MBA in Business Management, and his PhD in Management Innovation and Communications along with his Project Management certification.


David began his funeral career with our funeral home when he moved to Southern Indiana in 2009. He enjoys serving our families and communities in all aspects of funeral service. 


David currently lives in Sellersburg with his wife Cassie, and their three children: William, Piper, and Declan. He enjoys spending as much time with his family as possible and is an avid enthusiast of Historiography, Anthropology, and Egyptology.


Leslie Ingram

Leslie Ingram

Administrative Coordinator

Leslie Ingram is a life-long member of our community. She was born and raised in Clark County, graduating from Charlestown High School. She attended the College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Before joining our funeral home, Leslie was the Executive Assistant at a local hospital. After the hospital closed, she joined our funeral home in a similar role.


Leslie has been married to Ron Ingram for 46 years, and they have two children and two grandchildren. A daughter, Kimberly Wright and husband Kevin have two daughters, Ruby Louise and Willa Kay; and a son, Ryan Ingram. They all reside in Charlestown.


Leslie is a member of New Home Community Church and Blazing Bright Eastern Star Chapter #597. She serves as a Board member of the Greater North Clark Health Foundation. 


Katie Grayson

Funeral Home Support Staff

Katie Grayson serves as a dedicated member of our funeral home support staff, where she brings compassion, empathy, and a calming presence to families navigating times of loss. 


Katie has been married to her husband, Stephen, since 2015. Together, they have three children;Leah, Greer, and Wesley and two beloved dogs, Solomon and Sheba, who are often part of the family’s travel adventures. 


Outside of work, Katie enjoys baking and cooking, frequently sharing her homemade treats with others. She also loves spending quality time with her children, exploring new restaurants with her closest friends, and traveling—her favorite destination being the historic town of Galena, Illinois, known for its history and charming downtown.


In her role, Katie offers families meaningful support during life’s most difficult moments.

Jerry has been a valued member of our support staff team since 2018. In his role, he welcomes families and guests, assists with services, and escorts families to cemetery services. He also helps keep our funeral homes looking beautiful and ready to host services.

George joined our funeral home in 2024. As a member of our support staff team, he helps prepare our funeral homes for services and assists directors in a variety of ways to ensure that we meet the needs of each family we serve.
