At times like this, funeral rituals and traditions are important for all of us, and it is our job as funeral professionals to create a healing time and place to say goodbye. These necessary events that help us heal, remember, and celebrate are not only for you and your immediate family, but also all of the friends, co-workers, and other people that were impacted by your loved one. We should all have a chance to say goodbye.

Below is the list that I hope will make things a little easier for you. Let this list direct you as to what to start gathering when we begin to plan for the immediate future and initial conference.
To Bring or Have ready for Family Conference
- Full name and address of your loved one
- Date of birth
- City/Country of birth
- Parents’ names (please include mother’s maiden name)
- Family Names (Husband, Wife, Children, Grandchildren, Brothers, Sisters etc.)
- Social Security Number •If your loved one is a Military Veteran, please bring discharge paper (DD 214)
- Years of education•Occupation and Employer
- Hobbies, Interests, Personal Items
- Affiliations (Church, clubs, organizations etc.)
- Clothing / Jewelry
- Cemetery Deed
- 25 to 30 photographs representing Family, Friends and Special memories
- Number of certified copies of Death Certificate
- Insurance policies
