Willis Perry Tucker, Sr., 86 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Sunday November 7, 2021, at his home.
He was born on February 4, 1935, in Louisville, KY to Burtus and Iva Brooks Tucker. Willis was a retired Engineer for CSX Railroad, a former driver for Jim O’Neal Ford and a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed working out at Anytime Fitness, socializing, dancing and spending time with his family especially the grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Rose Marie Tucker, son, James Tucker, sister, Joyce Tucker, grandson, Bryan Tucker, and granddaughters, Sheila Cook and Shannon Tucker.
Survivors include his sons, Steven Tucker (Elisabeth) of Jeffersonville, IN, Willis Tucker, Jr., (Fiancé, Georgetta Richardson) of Charlestown; daughters, Susan Oelze of Charlestown, and Lisa Tucker of Charlestown; brothers, Darryl Tucker (Ellen) of Arkansas, and Ronald Tucker (Pam) of Charlestown; sister, Sharon Moore of Charlestown; grandchildren, Candace Ramge (Steve), Tiffany Oelze, Samantha Tucker, Amanda Arnold (John) and Erin Lynn Tucker; great grandchildren, Aubrey Tucker, Madison Ramge, Shelby Ramge, Steven Ramge, Jordan Arnold, Haley Arnold and Jake Cook.
Life Celebration Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday November 13, 2021, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday and after 9:00 am on Saturday.
