William Perry Gill

William Perry Gill, Sr., 77, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN.

He was born on October 8, 1943, in New Washington, IN to Carroll and Doris Dickey Gill.  He was a former member of the Indiana National Guard for 6 years, a retired truck driver for Pegasus Transportation and enjoyed western movies and  traveling the back roads across the nation.

Perry is survived by his wife, Shirley Steepro Gill, son, William “Billy” Gill, Jr. of Charlestown; daughter, Kristin Gill of Charlestown; brother, Tommy (Beverly) of New Washington, nieces, Delana (Doug) Standiford of Greenville, IN and Sandra (Billy) Newton of Louisville, KY and several great nieces and nephews.

Life Celebration Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington.  Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and after 9:00 am on Thursday.
