Sylvia E. (Kitts) Simon

Sylvia E. Simon, 75 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN after a two-and-a-half-year battle with MDS Blood Cancer.

Sylvia was born on November 20, 1948, in Heilbronn, Germany. She worked for several years at FormWood Industries in Jeffersonville, IN. Sylvia enjoyed spending time around her home, making artificial flower arrangements for herself and her loving family with pink carnations being her favorite.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, Stephen L. Simon; children, Cassandra Thompson and her husband Tom, of Nabb, IN, Tonja Speed and her husband Darrell of Hibernia, IN, and Natasha Thompson and her fiancé Jeremey Stillwell of Nabb, IN; mother, Sonja Tyler of Montana; brothers, Allen Kitts and his wife Marilyn of Montana, and Rino Kitts of Jeffersonville, IN; grandchildren, Styles Brown and his fiancé Holly Jackson, Keela Starratt, Levi Thompson; and nephew, Joshua Kitts. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Kitts.

It was Sylvia’s wish to be cremated with no services to be held.
