Rena B. (Bailey) Kern

Rena B. Kern 86 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Monday July 5, 2021 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

She was born on October 7, 1934 in Edna, KY to Kanawaha and Zona Mann Bailey.  Rena was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown and was a retired employee of I.C.I. of Americas where she worked in safety control and management.

Rena was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Kern, Sr; her son John T. Kern, Jr; grandsons, Johnny Kern, III and Zachary Kern; siblings Rose, Bessie, Wonie, Rella Melvin, Hassel and Dorsie.

Survivors include her son, Timothy W. Kern, Sr and his wife Rhonda of Otisco, IN; daughter, Delvinia Truman of Charlestown, sister, Reva Collet of West Liberty, KY; 14 grandchildren 23 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday July 10, 2021 at Grayson Funeral Home with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday and after 9:00 am on Saturday.
