Norman Leroy McDaniel

Norman Leroy (Shorty) McDaniel, 87 of Charlestown, IN moved out of his apartment into a mansion in Heaven on Thursday May 19, 2022, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on October 17, 1934, in Charlestown to Earl L. and Naomi Mae Langford McDaniel.  Norman was an Army Veteran, a first class Welder for JeffBoat and he attended Parkwood Nazarene Church in Clarksville, IN.  Norman loved God and his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Norman is survived by his wife or 65 years, May King McDaniel; sons, Michael McDaniel of Charlestown and Roger McDaniel (Debbie) of Charlestown, a daughter, Donna Sumner of Charlestown; sisters, Norma Jean Parrott of Charlestown and Betty Miller of Bronson, KY; grandchildren, Josh, Megan, Ryan and a great granddaughter Skylar.

Life Celebration Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday May 24, 2022, at Grayson Funeral Home with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday.
