Machelle Marie "Shell" Ramsey

Machelle Marie “Shell” Ramsey, 43 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

Machelle was born on December 31, 1976 in Jeffersonville, IN the daughter of Michael and Veta Gallo Ramsey. She worked in her younger years with Day Care Centers because of her love of children and in the produce department in Meijer’s in Jeffersonville, IN. Shell was a member of Henryville Baptist Church which though she went on Mission trips and work with the children of the church. Her family describe her as selfless, loved to spoil her niece and nephew, driving and chauffeuring family and friends. Machelle enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and working on jigsaw puzzles and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.

Shell is survived by her parents, Michael and Veta of Charlestown, IN; brother, James Ramsey and his wife Brittany of Charlestown, IN; niece, and nephew whom she dearly loved, Colten and Abigail; numerous cousins and close friends. She was preceded by her grandparents, Mary McCowan, Dominic Gallo, Elizabeth Ingram and Vincent Ingram.

Life Celebration services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Expressions of sympathy may take the for of donations to Machelle’s family to help with funeral expenses.
