Jodie William Lands

Jodie William Lands, 72 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

Jodie was born on June 10, 1948 in Boston, KY the son of Dave and Edna Kappel Lands. He retired after several years of service with Johnson Controls in Louisville, KY and after retirement he started Lands Lawn Service in Charlestown. Jodie was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Jeffersonville, IN, was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jodie made many trips to Colorado throughout his life to hunt and fish, loved visiting Cabela’s Sporting Goods Store, and had several of his accomplishments from his hunting mounted on the walls throughout his house.

Survivors include his daughters, Mary Jo Aubuchon of Las Vegas, NV and Betty Joanne Johnson of Elizabethtown, KY; sons, Billy Joe Lands of Charlestown, IN and Bobby Joe Lands of Bardstown, KY; Sister, Judy Robinson of Boston, KY; grandchildren, Curtis and Bobbie Ann; great-grandchildren, Madison Grace, Caeleb Wayne, Noah Parker, Judah James, Case Alexander and Nova Grace. Jodie was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lola Jean.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Charlestown Cemetery with burial to follow.
