J.C. Teeple Obituary

John Clark J.C. Teeple, 85, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at his residence. J.C. was born in Charlestown on July 5,1935 to the late Jack and Bertha Louise (Schafer) Teeple. He was a retired school teacher, enjoyed farming, gardening, watching all sports and John Wayne westerns, cookies of all kinds, completing his daily crossword puzzle, and most of all being POPPY.

J.C. was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Flossie Alene (Lewis) Teeple. He is survived by his children, Alan (Lisa) Teeple of Austin TX, Angela (David) Hargett of Winthrop IL and Teresa (Tim) Andrews of Charlestown IN; grandchildren, Thomas (Kris) Hargett, Buddy (Kati) Hargett, Robin (Gary) Strain, Jacquelyn Andrews, Whitney (Daniel) Garcia, Samuel Teeple and Joshua Andrews; his brother, Frank Teeple and sister, Jane Guthrie along with 11 great grandchildren.

The family respectfully ask that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to a scholarship that will be established at a later date.

To honor J.C.’s wishes cremation was chosen, and a memorial service will be held later.
