Garnett Zola (Isaac) Reed

Garnett Zola (Isaac) Reed, 95, of Charlestown, IN, passed from this world on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Lincoln Hills in New Albany, IN.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Odell Reed. She was the last of her nine siblings to pass. Garnett was a Charter Member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where she served for 63 years.

After retirement, the couple wintered in Florida where they reunited with high school friends from Eastern Kentucky and made many new friends.  She always loved to have grands and greats visit.  Garnett lived a full life in Christ and the love of family, friends and snacks.

Garnett was the mother of three children; Diana Waddle of Georgetown, KY, David Reed (Kathy) of Charlestown and Susie Ringenberg (Mark) of Georgetown, IN. In addition she leaves seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm  on Wednesday, at Grayson Funeral Home and again on Thursday after 1:00 pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southern Care Hospice
