Ellis Lavine Bowling

Ellis Lavine Bowling, 88, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

He was born on October 24, 1932 in Harlan County, KY to Matthew and Virtle  Bowling. He retired from the Henry Vogt Machine Company in Louisville and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and Blazing Star Masonic Lodge #226. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Larue Angeline Bowling and his son, Tim Bowling.

Ellis is survived by his son, Michael (Lisa) Bowling of New Salisbury, IN; daughter, Theresa Conrad of Charlestown; brothers, Hank Bowling of Cincinnati, OH;  Paul Bowling of Lexington, KY;  sister, Edna Downs of Lexington;  granddaughters, Kristal Conrad of Charlestown and Brandi French of Charlestown  grandson, Adam Bowling of Clarksville;  Great-Granddaughters, Mattie and Mylee May;  great-grandsons, Ethan and Dylan French.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday January 22, 2021 at Grayson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday.
