Donald Keith Jones

Donald Keith Jones, 86, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at his home.

He was born on August 9, 1934 in Clark County, IN to William and Mary Grimes Jones.

Don was a life long farmer, a member of the North Charlestown Church of God, the former owner of Jones Standard Station and Don's Marathon Station in Charlestown and a 50 year employee of Superior Vault Company, INC in Charlestown.  Jonesee was always willing to teach younger employees how to do their job correctly and was always called upon for advise even in the last couple of weeks and was respected by many of the funeral directors he served.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carlene Jones; his daughter, Donna Ashburn;  his grandsons, David Johnson and Clint Ashburn.

Survivors include his daughters, Kitty Wells and her husband Steve of Hamilton, OH and Debbie McCormick and her husband Jeff of Jeffersonville; son-in-law, John Ashburn of Jeffersonville; sisters, Shirley Bays and her husband Tom of Jeffersonville and Jeanette Skees of Charlestown;  grandchildren, Kristen Holland of Cincinnati, OH, Becky (Pete) Leniham of Council Bluffs, IA, Jessica (Matt) Heintzman of New Albany, IN, Nici Strunk of Hamilton, OH, Elizabeth Wells of Hamilton, OH and Amanda Ashburn of Shepherdsville, KY; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren,

Life Celebration Services will be at 11 am on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
