Bill Brewer

Bill Brewer 82 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on February 7, 1942, in Hart County, KY to Nathaniel and Eleanor Schneidtmiller Brewer.  Bill was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Charlestown, a retired machinist for 40-plus years at C. Lee Cook in Louisville, KY, and a 55-year-plus member of the Charlestown Volunteer Fire Department.  Bill enjoyed fighting fires, serving his church in different ways, loved trains, mowing and growing tomatoes, and, most importantly, taking care of his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Della Mae Brewer, son-in-law Dennis Timberlake, and siblings, Raymond Brewer, Robert Brewer, Elizabeth Sheckles, and Joyce Brewer.

Survivors include his daughters, Sheryl Timberlake of Pekin, IN, Cindy Kolb (Carl) of Charlestown, son, Randy Brewer (Sonya) of Charlestown; sisters, Martha Slaughter of Otisco, IN, Nancy Miller of Charlestown, grandsons, Andrew Kolb, Lucas Brewer, Matthew Kolb and many nieces and nephews.

Life Celebration Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and after 9:00 am on Thursday.
