Wilma Julia Conard, 98, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Providence Retirement Home.
She was born on June 19, 1916 to Anton and Antonia (Arbter) Berns in Door County, WI. She was a homemaker, a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church for 54 years, an active member of the Altar Society, and the Legion of Mary. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin C. Conard; son, Russell Conard; sisters, Luella Haen, Erma Duben, and Myrtle Smith.
Survivors include her daughters, Christine Conard of Louisville, KY , Judith A. August of Clarksville, IN, and Sandra J. Arispe of Chicago, IL; sons, Kenneth Conard (Margaret) of Louisville, KY, and Dale Conard (Patricia) of Oklahoma City, OK; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10am at the St. Michaels Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the St. Michaels Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday from 5pm to 8pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, and after 9am on Saturday at the funeral home.
