William 'Bill' Damon Gabbard

William ‘Bill’ Damon Gabbard 52 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY surrounded by his family.

He was born on June 27, 1972, in Jeffersonville, IN to Sidney and Barbara Lutgring Gabbard.  Bill was a mechanic who loved working on cars, playing corn hole, watching NASCAR, and University of Louisville Basketball.  He also enjoyed horse racing woodwork playing bowling and yard darts at the American Legion and spending time with his family, especially his grandson.  Bill was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 335, V.F.W. Post 1427, and the Sellersburg Moose Lodge.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and best friend, Jimmy Gullion.

Survivors include his daughters, Christina Gabbard (Christopher) of Charlestown and Angela Gabbard of Troy, IN; grandson Cayson Mullins of Charlestown and brother John Gabbard (Charleen) of Charlestown and several nieces and nephews.

A Life Celebration Gathering will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.
