William Marshall Spear, Sr.

William “Bill” Spear, Sr., 74, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his home.
He was born on January 10, 1941 to Marshall and Irma (Huffman) Spear in Jeffersonville, IN. He was retired from Jeff Boat, electrician, and worked for the old ICI Americas. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Trudy.
Survivors include his sons, David A. Spear, of Charlestown, IN, Richard W. Spear of Charlestown, IN, and William M. Spear, Jr. of New Albany, IN; sister, Joyce Broady of Minnesota; brothers, Ralph Spear of Sellersburg, IN, Tom Spear of Sellersburg, IN, John Spear of Charlestown, IN, and Steven Spear of Sellersburg, IN; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 2pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm, and after 9am on Monday.
