William Hooper, Jr.

William Hooper Jr, 68 of Marysville, IN. passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at his residence.  He was born on November 10, 1955, in Jeffersonville, IN. to William and Nora Mae Cureton Hooper.

William worked as a boiler maker, was a member of the Boiler Makers Union #433, a U.S. Navy veteran, enjoyed working in his landscape, hanging out at the Sellersburg VFW, watching Nascar races, cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Colts as they played football, and looked forward to his Wednesday night, weekly card games with his sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie and husband Brian Napier; grandchildren, Dakota Hancock, and Kaitlyn Blake and husband Adam; his brothers, Robert L. Hooper and wife Fonda, and David Hooper; his sisters, Billie J. Mc Dill, Shirley and husband Glenn Kight, and Judy Campbell; and his great-grandchildren, Rykker and Violet Blake.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jesse W. Hooper, his brother, Donald W. Hooper, and his sister, Brenda F. Hooper

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 5-8pm at the Marysville School House, in Marysville.
