William O. Hoerth

William O. Hoerth Jr., 69 of Charlestown passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Sellersburg Rehabilitation Center.

William was born on January 18, 1949 in St. Louis, IL the son of William O. and Veda Mae Evans Hoerth Sr. He worked for several years for Caterpillar Heavy Equipment as a welder in Chicago, IL. William served in the United States Navy, loved working on cars especially his 1967 and 1966 GTO’s and also his 1969 Camaro and enjoyed building model cars.

Survivors include his daughters Heather and Leva of the Chicago area; cousin Dennis Lee Wright of Evansville, IN; special brother, Joe Gay and his wife Marie of Charlestown, IN. William was preceded in death by his parents, and step-brother Kenneth Edward Smith.

Funeral services will be held at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 20, 2018 with burial in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN. Visitation will be held on Monday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
