William Robert Harris Sr.

William Robert Harris, Sr, 68, of Charlestown, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY.
He was born on July 28, 1945 to Robert D. and Margaret (Holbrook) Harris in Oldham Co., KY. He was an Army Veteran of Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Hal Harris and Warren Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel (Rhodes) Harris of Charlestown, IN; son, William R. Harris, Jr. of Omaha, NB; brother, Dell Harris of New Albany, IN; sisters, Mary K. Byrd of New Albany, IN, Sherry Morris of Jeffersonville, IN, Regina Harris of New Albany, IN, Susan Harris of New Albany, IN, and Gloria Harris of New Albany, IN; 3 Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2014 at 1 pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 3 pm to 8 pm, and after 10 am on Thursday.
