William Jeremiah Greenleaf, age 28, of Anchorage, Alaska formerly of New Washington, IN passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 in Alaska.
He was born April 15, 1984 in Bethesda, Maryland. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. He was a graduate of New Washington High School in 2002, spent 6 years in the U.S. Army before moving to Alaska where he enjoyed spending time with family, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife Angela Ward Greenleaf; parents, David and Janet Greenleaf, New Washington; daughters, Celest and Kristen Humphrey both of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Abigail and Sylvia Greenleaf both of New Washington; grandparents, William L. and Velma Greenleaf, Hodgenville, KY, Alton and Ruth Blakley, New Washington and Laverne Dye, Clarksburg, WV. ;grandson, Mason of Anchorage. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Luella Snyder.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday June 16, 2012 at Grayson Funeral Home, New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday and after 11:00 A.M. Saturday. Military services will be conducted by the Charlestown American Legion and V.F.W.
