Willard Gene Adams, 83 of Hanover passed away at his home on Saturday, October 18, 2014
Mr. Adams was born July 2, 1931 in Hanover the son of Newton Thomas and Lottie Fae Nibert Adams. He was a retired high school vocational teacher at the Southeastern Career School in Versailles, IN and a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Hanover Baptist Church, Madison V.F.W,  American Legion and was regular visitor on Saturday’s  at the Scottsburg Sale Barn.
Survivors include his wife Virginia Gay Golden Adams; daughter, Carol Wiggam(Keith) of Madison; sons, James Adams(Susan) of Naples, FL, Richard Adams(Debra) of Tampa, FL, Roy Adams(Brenda) of Dupont, IN, Daryl Adams(Kim) of Madison and Don Adams of Amelia, OH; sisters, Evelyn Handlon of Hanover and Wuanita Weber of Lexington, IN; brothers, Robert Adams of Hanover, Melvin Adams of Hanover and Clifford Adams of New Washington, IN; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren . Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Louella Kessler and Viola Turner; brothers, Floyd, Albert, Luther and infant brother Elbert Adams.
Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be conducted by his grandson, Pastor Aaron Adams on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover with burial in New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday beginning at 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. American Legion Post #9 will conduct military graveside services. Expressions of Sympathy in memory of Mr. Adams may take the form of donations to the New Bethel Cemetery Association.
