Wendell B. Willis Brown 81 of Marysville, IN passed away on Friday June 28, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 2, 1943, in Letcher County, KY to Willis and Beatrice Banks Brown. Wendell was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired employee of I.C.I. of Americas where he worked in weights and measures and quality control.
Wendell, Dad, Grandpa was a man who was also dedicated to providing for his family and enjoying his hobbies. He loved serving the Lions Club and was a member for 20+ years. In 1984 he ran the State Convention as the Chairman. Woodworking was another hobby he loved during the middle of his life. Above all hobbies, however, he loved gardening and fishing the most. Fishing as a family is something that has generated some of our favorite memories. He continued to garden right up until the end and always loved walking family through his garden. There is no doubt that he is tending his garden right now with “granny and pop” as well as his brother Leonard who all precede him in death.
Wendell is survived by his wife, Rita Delaney Brown; sons, Michael W. Brown and his wife Stephanie of Charlestown and Jason A. Brown and his wife Kelli of Tell City, IN; grandchildren, Aubrey Brown, Madelyn Brown, Natalie Brown Jackson Brown and Sullivan Brown.
