Wavie Marie Campton, 92, of Nabb, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at St. Catherine Regional Hospital.
She was born on January 10, 1920 to Demon and Emily Long Rush in Cumberland Co., KY.
She was a former employee of the Old ICI Americas, Englishton Park, and a homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Nabb Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, and flowers. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willard Campton; son, Charles Campton; brothers, Warren and Malcom Rush; sister, Edith Urich; great-grandson, Dustyn.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy Brading of Marysville, IN, and Betty Kemp of New Washington, IN; brother, Lyle Rush of Louisville, KY; sisters, Glee Long of Burkesville, KY, Bonnie Smith of Greenwood, IN, Noxie Miles and Ann Bauer both of Indianapolis, IN;
8 Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, with burial to follow in the Barnes Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4pm to 8pm and after 9am on Saturday.
