Warren E. Stevens, 63, of Charlestown passed away Wednesday January 4, 2012 at St. Catherine Regional Hospital.
He was born on May 18, 1948 in Floyd County, IN the son of Herbert and Joyce Kirk Stevens. Mr. Stevens was a retired Police Officer and former Chief of Police for the Charlestown, IN Police Department. He was a member of the North Charlestown Church of God, member and past president of the F.O.P Lodge, Charlestown Blazing Star Masonic Lodge, former member of the Charlestown Volunteer Fire Department and Lions Club, Kosair Shrine Club, a Kentucky Colonel and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Simpson-Stevens; children, Butch, Michelle, Denise and Susie; step-children, Jeff and Aaron; 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will held from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 P.M. and after 11:00 A.M. Saturday until time of service.
