Wanda Louise Helton Griffin, 69, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born on August 19, 1942 to Bruce and Martha Shepherd Helton in Gordon, KY. She was a former employee of K-Mart in Jeffersonville. She was a member of the New Market Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jon Griffin; brother, Don Helton, and a sister, Shirley Boling.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Bower of Jeffersonville, IN, James K. Bower of Jeffersonville, IN, and John W. Bower of Madison, IN; daughter, Elisbeth Banks of Jeffersonville, IN; step-son, Jon W. Griffin, Jr. of Greenwood, IN; step-daughter, Dawn Judd of Greenwood, IN; brothers, Ralph Helton of Sellersburg, IN, Jack Helton of Otisco, IN, James Helton of Marysville, IN, and Tom Helton of Charlestown, IN; sisters, Norma Amick of Marysville, IN, and Betty Doane of Marysville, IN; 10 grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the New Market Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Saturday.
