Wanda Mae Bower, 81, of Clarksville, IN, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born on May 26, 1932 to Hugh and Edna (Brooks) Oakley in Ford Co., IL. She was a factory worker for Reliance Electric in Madison, IN, and she worked at the old B & T Drug Store in Charlestown. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Dennis Bower, and Greg Bower both of New Washington, IN; daughters, Marsha Bower, and Kim Bower both of New Washington, IN; brother, Danny Oakley of Charlestown, IN, and Sister, Patty Oakley of Jeffersonville, IN; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, IN, with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday from 1pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Saturday.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
