Wallace Ray Howard

Wallace Ray Howard 71 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN.

He was born on December 3, 1952, in Edna, KY to Corbett Howard and Bessie Bailey and moved from Magoffin County, KY to Clark County, Indiana in 1955.  Wallace graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1970 and started working for the United States Census Bureau in 1970.  He retired from the Census Bureau in 2013 after 43 years.  He married Camille Dunn in December 1988.  Wallace enjoyed gardening, making and playing the dulcimer, and working on crossword puzzles.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Louise.

He is survived by his wife, Camille Dunn Howard; a son, Mike Howard born in December 1989 in Clarksville, IN, and a nephew Travis Crumpton of Clarksville, IN.
