Virgil W. Carlisle, 58, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd.
He was born on March 17, 1959 to Calvin, Sr. and Annabelle (Cissell) Carlisle in Louisville, KY.
He was a painter, enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and was a member of American Legion Post 335 in Charlestown, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Millie Woods; brother, Robert Carlisle.
Survivors include his son, Zach Holland of New Washington, IN; sisters, Linda Brafford (James) of Marysville, IN, Ellen Keith (David) of Charlestown, IN, Jennifer Collins of Marysville, IN, and Joie Shields of Charlestown, IN; brother, Calvin Carlisle, Jr. (Linda) of Charlestown, IN.
A Gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1pm the A&E Center in Charlestown.
