Velva J. Smith, 92, of Marysville died Sunday August, 2 2009 at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany
She was born on March 27, 1917 in Mansfield, IL;The daughter of Howard and Ora Ross Smith. She was a former seamstress at the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant, and a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church in New Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emerald Smith, a son Everett R. and daughter-in-law Ann Smith, son Jerry Smith, grandchildren Jay and Jamie, and 7 of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara Kerner of Creekside, PA, brother Ross Smith of Rising Sun, IN, and her daughter-in-law Judy Smith of Marysville, IN, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
