Vanesssa Nicole Smith

Vanessa Nicole Smith 30, of Charlestown, IN passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 23, 2023.  She was born on June 27, 1993, in Jeffersonville, IN to Gary Thomas Smith Sr. and Rosa Manzanez Smith.

Vanessa had an adventurous soul, she loved the outdoors, traveling the back roads, long road trips to Indianapolis, French Lick, and Gatlinburg. The family had a trip planned to the zoo to see the sloths this summer.  Spending time with her son, Konnor, fiancé, Langdon, and her family was her favorite hobby.  She kept an enduring faith throughout her illness and loved the Lord.

Vanessa was preceded in death by her father, Gary Thomas Smith Sr.

She is survived by her son, Konnor Kessans; fiancé, Langdon Kessans; her mother, Rosa Manzanez Smith; her brother, Gary Smith, and his fiancé Nichole; aunts, Marie Santos, Carmen Laguna, Angelica Mazanez, Isabella Mazanez, and Betty Smith; special cousin, Tanya Price; and friend, Juan Jimenez; along with a large extended family to mourn her passing.

Life Celebration Services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023, beginning at 12:00 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
