Valerie Brown, 54 of Charlestown passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her home.
Valerie was born on October 9, 1961 in New Albany, IN the daughter of Earl and Edna Lee Payton Copas. She was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School and Ivy Tech.
Survivors include her daughter, Tabitha Del Grande and her husband, Bill of Sellersburg, IN; son, Justin Smith of Peoria, IL; father, Earl Copas of Charlestown; brothers, Robert Copas of Clarksville, IN and Kevin Copas of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren, Destiny, Laila, Achilles, Gabe and Emmie; Valerie was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Lee Copas; sister, Sandy Clifford and grandson, Dylan Cloud.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday until time of services
