Thomas Franklin “Candyman” Miller, 81 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday July 9, 2016 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.
He was born on January 10, 1935 in Bloomington, IN to Boyd and Opal Bruce Miller. Tom was a retired Staff Sergeant of the United States Marine Corp and a member of the American Legion Post 335 and VFW Post 1427.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Freels.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Cochran Miller; sons, Thomas E. Miller (Linda) of Valdosta, GA, Roger Lawson (Dalevina) of Nabb, IN; daughters, Theresa Miller Smith (Stephen) of Jeffersonville, Gayle Bays (Charlie) of Nabb; sisters, Betty Sue Anderson and Patty Thompson both of Charlestown; brothers, Robert “Bo” Miller (Betty) of Bronston, KY, Danny Miller (Rita) of Lexington, IN, Ben Miller (Sharon) of Scottsburg, IN; grandchildren, Eric Miller (Kendra) of Ocala, FL, Shelby Miller of Valdosta, GA, Ashley Conrad (Nathan) of Nabb, Stephanie Payton (John)and Rebecca Roark (Donnie) both of Charlestown, Dakotah Montgomery and Dylan McIntosh both of New Albany, IN; great grandchildren, Wyatt Payton, Kylee and Keera Payton, Breana Posey, all of Charlestown, Austin Conrad of Nabb and Caleb Mattingly of Louisville, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday July 12, 2016 at Grayson Funeral Home with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 8 pm on Monday and after 9 am on Tuesday.
