Thomas E. Davidson, 84 of Lexington, IN passed away on September 11, 2012 at his home.
He was born on October 5, 1927 in Benton Co., IN to Vernon “Bunk” Davidson, Sr and Charlotte Bissenden Davidson. Mr. Davidson was an army veteran of World War II and a 26 year employee of the federal government where he served last as a Explosive Ordance Disposal man at the Jefferson Proving Ground. He was also retired member of Carpenters Union where he worked for 15 years. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Paynesville, IN and a Life member of the VFW Post 1969 and a member of the American Legion Post # 9.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Thomas B. Davidson, brother, Willaim Davidson, and sisters Caroline Black and Kate Cooley.
He is survived by his loving wife the former Mildred McCreary, son; Edward D. Davidson (Shirley) of Frankfort, KY, brothers; Vernon Davidson, Jr of Hanover, IN, Robert and John Davidson both of Madison, IN, sisters; Louise Ricketts of Madison, Sarah Sackett of Waldorf, MD, and Betty Davidson of Fort Wayne, IN, grandchildren; Mike Davidson (Stacy) of Frankfort, KY, Michelle Mudd (Jerry) of Lexington, KY and three great grandchildren Julie, Hannah and Sarah Grace.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Paynesville, IN. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and at the funeral home after 9 a.m. on Friday.
