Thelma (Hammons) Reece

Thelma Reece, 79, of Otisco, IN passed away on February 12, 2022 at Autumn Woods Nursing Home in New Albany, IN.  She was born on December 10, 1942 in Topeka, KS to Robert and Margie LeGrand Hammons.  She worked as a produce manager for several grocery stores, enjoyed cooking, and growing flowers in her garden.  She was a loving wife and mother, a great hostess who also enjoyed country music and listening to Elvis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Robert Lee Hammons, Randall Hammons, and Steve Hammons, and her sister Fran Lawrence.

Thelma is survived by her daughter Melissa Ann Pierson (Joseph) of Sellersburg, IN, and her grandsons Taylor McKittrick and Evan McKittrick.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
