Thelma F. (Fugate) Napier

Thelma F. Napier 93 of Charlestown, IN.  passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

She was born on November 16, 1930, in Perry County, KY to Richard and Myrtle Brown Fugate.  Thelma was a former bookkeeper, devoted homemaker, and member of First Baptist Church Charlestown and the Blazing Bright Chapter # 597 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her family was always her number one priority.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lee Napier, a son Gary Lee Napier, and siblings, Willie Fugate, L. D. Fugate, Katherine Fugate, and J. B. Fugate.

Survivors include her son Randy L. Napier and his wife, Lisa Jo of Charlestown; grandchildren, Jessie Burnett, Claire Napier-Galofaro, Carman L. Napier; great-grandchildren, Laine Burnett and Vincent L. Burnett; lifelong friend, E. W. Davidson of Versailles, KY and her special caregiver, Peggy Keown of Jeffersonville and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Charlestown Cemetery.
