Thelma Jackson, 88 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg, IN.
Mrs. Jackson was born on November 12, 1927 in Chalk, TX the daughter of John William and Jessie Elizabeth Coop Walker. Thelma was retired from the U. S. Census Bureau in Jeffersonville.
She was a member of the Return Church in Clarksville, IN and enjoyed gardening, Bible Study and loved being in Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Fisher(David) of Charlestown; son Cliff Haston(Cecilia) of Tucson, AZ; sister, Patsy Elizabeth Hudspeth of San Angelo, TX; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Michael, Becky, Kyle, Kevin, Kimberly and Kurt; nine great-grandchildren. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nathaniel Jackson; sons, Jack and Jerry B. Haston; sister, Johnnie Elizabeth Lacy and brother, Harrol Douglas Walker.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Bill Hudson on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Return Church in Clarksville, IN, 435 Eastern Blvd. with burial in Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, IN. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Church.
