Teresa Lynn Pendleton, 68 of Marysville, IN passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Mrs. Pendleton was born April 28, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of Robert and Betty Barger Satters who preceded her in death. Teresa graduated with her B.S. degree from Indiana State University and received her M.A. from Indiana University. She retired after 38 years as an Elementary Teacher starting her career at E. O. Muncie Elementary in Madison, IN in 1970, the former Prather Elementary in 1971-1975 where she taught special education and finish her career in 2007 at New Washington Elementary. Teresa’s grandchildren were the love of her life and all the children’s lives she helped shape in her career.
Survivors include her husband whom she married on May 31, 1969, James Pendleton Jr.; daughter Shawn Powell of Marysville, IN; brothers, Don Mann and Tony Satters; grandchildren, Aaron and Abigail Powell.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, IN with burial in Canaan Cemetery in Canaan, IN. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 7:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Monday until time of services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Pendleton may take the form of donations to the New Washington Elementary P.T.O.
