Ms. Yates was born on Feb. 13, 1925 to the late Alvin and Kathryn Montgomery Satterly in Utica, IN and
died Tuesday April 28, 2009 at Wedgewood Manor in Clarksville
She was preceded in death by her son Ernest DeVary.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Tarter and Tina Ford of Jeffersonville, son: Ronnie (Brenda) DeVary of Charlestown, half brother Harold (Sharon) Satterly of Clarksville, Step brother, Paul (Barbara)Turner of St. Louis, MO., Sisters Helen Bare and Pat Mickel of Charlestown, half sisters Wanda (David) Worrall of Clarksville, Alpha Spencer of New Albany, and Irene (Tony) Matherly ofClarksville. step-sister, Annabelle Browning of Jeffersonville, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
