Mr. Baird lost his courageous battle with cancer on Sunday June 25, 2006 at St. Catherine Regional Hospital in Charlestown. He was a member of the Old Salem United Methodist Church, a 36 1/2 year employee of General Electric and a life long farmer. Survivors include his wife the former Joyce Scott, daughters Christine Duncan and Stephanie May, brother Randall Baird and grandchildren Alyssa May, Katelyn and Brandon Duncan and two special canine friends Shania and Baxter.
