Ms. McDaris was born on March 14, 1932 in Edmonton, KY to Herbert and Polly Fields Harper and died Sunday September 2, 2007 at Westminister Village Healthcare. She was a former secretary for the Jefferson County Board of Education and a member of the Ivy Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Turner of Jeffersonville, In and a brother Rowe Harper of Prospect, KY, grandchildren, Elizabeth Ryan of Indianapolis, IN and Michelle Oppelt of Jeffersonville and two great grandchildren Aidan Baker and Connor Ryan.
