Shirley Temple (Crawford) Mccoy

Shirley Temple McCoy, 86 of Charlestown, IN. passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Riverbend Senior Living in Jeffersonville, IN.  She was born on June 19, 1935, in Hazard, KY to the late Lovely Crawford and Frankie Combs.  Shirley worked at the I.C.I. plant in Charlestown for many years, she enjoyed flea markets, yard sales and sitting on her porch drinking a Pepsi.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul McCoy; brothers, Touson Walker and Mervin Crawford and her sister, Janice Walker.

She is survived by her brother, Claude Combs Jr. (Sharon) of Charlestown; nieces, Dorrie Hayes and Geneva Adams both of Charlestown and her nephews, Chad Combs (Alex Jones) of Charlestown, Jeffrey Coldwell (Thomas Becker) of Chicago, IL and Bobby Walker (Judith) of Jeffersonville, IN; Shirley is also survived by her sister-in-law, Judith Walker of Scottsburg, IN.

Shirley’s wishes were to be cremated and her remains returned to Hazard, KY. to be buried in the McCoy family cemetery, beside her beloved husband, Paul.
