Shirley Ann Crandall, 80 of Charlestown died Saturday February 25, 2012 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
She was born on September 21, 1931 to George W. and Mildred Thomas Risinger in Dugger, IN and was a former assistant librarian at the Charlestown Library.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Crandall who died 18 years ago and, sisters Phyllis Pickett and Sally Pickett and her brother Jack Risinger.
Shirley is survived by her brother F. Thomas Risinger and his wife Donna of Dugger, IN, sister-in-law; Mary Jo Risinger of Jeffersonville, IN and two special nieces Diane Smith of Cicero, IN and Gail Messmore of Jeffersonville, IN, cousins; George and Shirley Bowman of Griffith, IN and Janet Bowman of Dugger, IN.
No services are scheduled. Interment of Shirley’s ashes will be in New Albany National Cemetery in New Albany, IN.
