Shelby Michael Goodlett

Shelby died Thursday June 26, 2008 at home.

He was born September 2, 1994 in Louisville, Kentucky the son of Harold Glenn Goodlett Jr., Charlestown and Elizabeth Ann Goodlett, Charlestown. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany and was a student at Charlestown Middle School. Shelby was a member of the Charlestown Volunteer Fire Department Cadets Program and volunteered with several community organizations including his church, Clark County 4-H and Charlestown Beautification Committee.

Survivors beside his parents are a brother, Jimmy Goodlett, Taylorsville, KY; sisters, Leigh Ann Goodlett, Taylorsville, KY, Laura Behr and Sarah Behr both of Georgetown, IN; grandparents, Harold and Jo Goodlett, Sr., Charlestown and Betty LaMotte, New Albany. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Dottie Goodlett.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the Grace Lutheran Church, 1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, IN with burial to follow in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday from 12 Noon to 8 PM at the Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown and on Tuesday after 10 AM until time of service at the church.

Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donations to the Shelby Goodlett Memorial Scholarship Fund at the New Washington State Bank.
