Sharon L. Abbott, 67 of New Washington, IN passed away on Wednesday September 14, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.
She was born on May 7, 1949 in Jeffersonville, IN to Mark Abbott, Sr., and Bertha Schmitt Abbott. She was a former factory worker and enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Frank Abbott.
Survivors include her companion, Robert Brown of New Washington, IN; daughters, Melissa Jordan (Larry) of New Washington, IN, Kimberly Jacobs (Jim) of Pekin, IN, Rhonda Vernon (Jon) of Scottsburg, IN; son, Michael “Scotty” Davidson (Brandy) of Shepherdsville, KY; sister, Donna Davidson (Jimmy) of New Washington, IN; brothers, Mark Abbott, Jr., of Scottsburg, Larry Abbott (Judith) of Hanover, IN, Jerry Abbott (Tammy) of Louisville, KY, Ronnie Abbott ( Melissa) of New Washington and Mickey Abbott (Linda) of Chelsea, IN; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 6 pm on Saturday September 17, 2016 at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 pm to 8 pm on Saturday.
