Shaquan Marnell Oglesby was born March 10, 1983 to Shirley Ann Hicks McKoy and Ivan Patterson. He was later adopted by the loving and caring heart of Stella Juanita Oglesby who raised him up to be the great man he was. He graduated from Charlestown High School as a football athlete. Shaquan was a huge Michigan Wolverines fan with his Hilltop gang, Mike, Coolio, Big Reg, Rome, Jerain, and Meat.
At a young age he confessed Christ as his personal savior at St. James Methodist Church where he was accolade, sang in the choir and was involved in numerous other activities within the church. He later, as a grown man, rededicated his life to Christ under pastor Joel Black at the Church of the Living God #366, where he was a current member.
In the early morning hours of June 20, 2020, Torrez, Pooh, Shaquan heard come with me and he went. All his earthly assignments had been fulfilled.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories; his wife, Kristen Jones; daughters, Destiney Oglesby and Kimbrea Jones; son, Kaden Richardson; sisters, Sharita Hicks, Christle Oglesby and Tamesha McKoy; brothers, Anthony Oglesby, Shamar Oglesby, Jamie Hutchinson, Shavel McKoy and James Williams; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
