Scott H. Lanham, 44, after a courageous battle with cancer, has been called to be with his Lord and Savior. Scott died bravely and joined his father, Charles H. Lanham (2008) on
December 5, 2014.
Scott was a US Navy serviceman and a long time employee of Norfolk Southern Railroad. Scott also owned an independent construction firm and participated as an active, local philanthropist. Scott was an Athletic Coach and Charlestown athletic standout in football and wrestling. Scott was a true American Patriot, a Veteran, an Eagle Scout. Scott is also survived by numerous, lifetime friendships among many Charlestown citizen and former team mates. Scott lived as a leader among men. Despite residing elsewhere, his heart never left his close friends in Southern Indiana---And, it never will. Doting father, loving partner, devoted son, steadfast brother-- you will long be mourned and forever missed.
Scott is survived by his children, Dakota Lanham , Mayzie Lanham, and
Canton Lanham all of Louisville, KY. Scott is also survived by his loving partner Shannon Albert Stoner of Charlestown, IN; his mother, Sharon Pagel Lanham of Louisville, KY, and his siblings: John (Antonina) Lanham of New Albany, IN, Robin Lanham of Louisville, KY, Debra Lanham of Jeffersonville, IN, and Richard Lanham of Las Vegas, NV.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 7pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will begin after 12pm on Wednesday.
