Sam Carlisle

Sam Carlisle, a beloved member of the Nabb community, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on August 24, 2025, at the age of 41. Born on July 21, 1984, Sam’s life was marked by adventure and a passion for the outdoors.

He proudly owned and operated S and D Tree Service, where he combined his love for nature with his hardworking spirit. Known for being always on the move, Sam was an adrenaline junkie whose adventurous nature inspired many around him. He had a big heart and a deep love for animals. At times Sam was known to be stubborn and hardheaded.

Sam is survived by his devoted father, LaRue Carlisle; his cherished grandmother, Frances Carlisle; and his siblings, Misty Linder, Kenneth Mobley and his spouse Amber, Tabatha Smallwood and her spouse James, Atraill Carlisle and his spouse Raquel, and Tanner Carlisle and his fiancé Claudia.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Beth Tungate; his sister, LaNiaka Carlisle; and his grandfather, Alex Carlisle.

As we remember Sam, we reflect on his proudest accomplishment—starting his own company, which not only showcased his entrepreneurial spirit but also provided him the outlet to share his passion for the trees and landscape surrounding him. His legacy lives on in the stories shared by those who knew him and in the hearts of his loved ones who will miss his adventurous spirit.
