Ruth (Smith) Teague

Ruth Teague, 81 of Charlestown passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.  She was born on October 21, 1940, in Hazard, KY to Ova and Stella Young Smith.  Ruth worked as a hairdresser and was a member of the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church, in Vero Beach, FL.  Ruth was someone who was very active in her church and enjoyed her time in Florida at the beach.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Carol Teague, her parents Ova and Stella Smith, siblings:  Ida Mae Strong, R.C. Smith, Ivan Smith, and Imogene Ritchie.

Ruth is survived by her sister, Betty Weyer; nieces and nephews:  Karen Frye of Charlestown, Ralph Napier of New Albany,  Jackie Miller of Hazard, KY, Mike Smith of Winchester, KY, Debbie Barnett of Lexington, KY, and Janet Couch of Hazard, KY; She is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday April 6, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial to follow in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 am until the time of the service.
