Russell Lee Williams

Russell Lee Williams passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on July 15, 1950, to Russell Williams and Margarette Hutchinson. Russell's life was defined by his love for his family and lending a helping hand to his friends. He left a lasting impression on those who knew and loved him. Russell is known for his 33 years of dedication and hard work at Owens-Illinois. Russell enjoyed being on the lake, catching the biggest fish and pulling his grandkids on the tube. He also loved sitting on the front porch with his cat at Camp, greeting neighbors, and tending to his garden. He took great joy in sharing his fruits and vegetables with family and friends.

Russell is preceded in death by his father, Russell L Williams, brothers, Hank Williams and Jasper R. Williams.

Russell is survived by his mother, Margarette; brother Rocky (Jane) Williams, sister Ruth (Ronald) Willey; son Rusty (Melanie) Williams, daughters Kimberly (James) Wray and Trisha Williams; six grandchildren, Katie (Steven) Peyton, Josh (Tayte) Wray, Bryce (Kennedy) Wray, Chase (Andres) Ruiz Wray, Kinsey Williams and Indy Williams; eight great grandchildren, Atlas, Emersyn, River, Maelyn, Walker, Eva, and Everleigh.

Russell leaves behind a legacy of love and care deeply felt by his grandchildren who will carry his memory forward.

The family will receive friends for his Life Celebration Service on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, for visitation beginning at 11:00 am until 2:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Russell's life. Burial will follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
